Brief

The client wanted to renovate their outdoor area to make better use of the space they had while creating a vibrant garden they could take care of themselves.

The property featured a giant magnolia tree that blocked out the sun, a tiny deck and no good spaces for flowering gardens.

With a pool in mind, the client engaged Natural Habitats to design and build their new landscape.

Natural Habitats eagerly embraced the challenge of transforming this Castor Bay garden, embarking on a comprehensive remodeling project. The team's meticulous work involved removing the small lawn and introducing fresh elements to breathe new life into the space.

Constructing wide steps and installing porcelain pavers, the team crafted a stunning deck and patio area, forming an inviting outdoor room. The available space boasts a gently terraced section leading to a lower garden. Raised beds, tropical-inspired plants, and strategically placed flower pots added vibrancy and charm.

The transformed garden has surpassed the client's expectations. The deck and tiled patio have become beloved spots for leisurely meals and morning coffees. The absence of a pool turned out to be a blessing, with the nearby beach serving as their expansive swimming pool. Even Baron, their lovable Bernese mountain dog, finds solace on the cool porcelain tiles and enjoys his outdoor "powder room" complete with river pebbles.

A harmonious blend of flowering plants, including hydrangeas, vireyas, and a majestic rhododendron, adorns the garden. Privacy is ensured by strategically placed palms, while the client's passion for flowers shines through with carefully selected perennials and annuals. The scale and grandeur of the garden, achieved through thoughtful design, are truly captivating.
