The Grey Lynn bungalow underwent a complete transformation into a lively and spacious city retreat, finished in 2024. We tore off the old low lean-to roof and replaced it with a striking high gabled roof that nods to the home's traditional roots. This change opens up the interior, creating a bright, open-plan living space that’s perfect for relaxing or entertaining, with beautiful views over the garden and the city skyline.

The interior’s playful vibe is brought to life with a bold colour palette of blues, greens, and pinks, making the space feel vibrant and inviting. Outside, we sculpted a serene outdoor area complete with terraced decking, lush planting, and a plunge pool — a perfect spot for unwinding or catching up with friends. This project showcases Milieu’s knack for blending modern design with functional, eye-catching features, creating a home that’s both timeless and totally contemporary.
