Elevate Sealing Solutions is proud to have contributed to the upgrade of Hamilton Gardens, a project undertaken in partnership with Gallagher. The highlight of this $12 million development is the Gallagher Visitor Centre, set to open on September 18. This centre is a key feature of the new entry precinct, designed to make a striking first impression for visitors to this award-winning destination.

The entry precinct upgrade includes enhancements to the Hamilton Gardens Café, new retail spaces, and a park-like setting with additional seating and landscaped grounds. The Gallagher Visitor Centre will improve visitor flow, accessibility, security, and comfort.

Hamilton Gardens was recently ranked in the top 1% of attractions globally by Tripadvisor, with a record 537,584 visitors from July 2023 to July 2024.

As part of the project, Elevate Sealing Solutions was tasked with cleaning and sealing the Hinuera stone and concrete pavers at the Terraces overlooking Turtle Lake. This included the existing Hinuera stone walls encircling the river and the newly constructed Hinuera walls in the upgraded landscaping. The goal was to ensure these elements aligned with the high visual standards of the new visitor centre.

The contract required not only expertise in cleaning and sealing but also rigorous health and safety practices, given the extensive public access during the work. Elevate faced additional challenges, such as protecting waterways, plant life, and aquatic life. However, with the use of environmentally friendly products and purpose-built low-pressure spray equipment, the team successfully cleaned and sealed the Hinuera stone and pavers without harming these sensitive areas.

The Hinuera stone had not been maintained for many years. Elevate’s techniques restored its original clean and uniform appearance, matching the new stonework in the precinct. Additionally, Elevate Sealing Solutions, in collaboration with the Council, sealed the concrete pavers on the Terraces to reduce future maintenance for the Gardens staff.
