The Saint Stephens Apartments project showcases innovative structural engineering solutions designed to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient construction process. The 27 luxury apartments, spanning six levels with two basement car parks, required a structural system that balanced strength, buildability, and speed of delivery while optimizing usable space.

The structural framework utilizes a composite steel-concrete flooring system supported by composite steel beams and columns. Precast concrete shear walls provide a reliable lateral system, ensuring seismic resilience in alignment with New Zealand standards.

One of the project's standout features is the extensive use of the combiwall retaining system. This system minimized structural depth, optimizing the overall usable area of the development. Its innovative design simplified the construction methodology, eliminated the need for additional waterproofing or cladding, and reduced the complexity of the final retaining wall finish.
