In order to achieve the expansive sea views over the promenade across the road from the front of the site, the main living areas including kitchen were placed on the first floor along with the Master Bedroom suite. This provided the living and sleeping areas for the owners all on one level. The curved soffit expressed on the exterior of the House, its horizontal form and cantilevered first floor is subtle acknowledgements to its seaside setting.
